Baby Quilt

My mom and I made a quilt together. Since it was my first, I found several stages of this required a bit of extra effort. The real problem was that I finally found a quilt pattern I liked, but they only sold it as a kit with all the materials picked out. The kit was all pink fabrics....What about the boys??? They allowed me to take a picture of it, and said I could try and make my own pattern. Well, I think that is where it added a bit of complication for me, especially never having made a quilt. I'm so happy it turned out and we only had a few hiccups:) I love the finished product.

As I was taking pictures of it, Beau was sure to make his appearance. Lydia, I chose this picture for you:) I hope he and this little baby get along really well.

The Magic 8 Ball

I don't get very excited about Halloween costumes, maybe that will change with kids. However, every year, Jeremy and I try to do something. This year I was a little bit excited, because I finally had a fun idea. The magic 8 Ball (I had to use the belly). Pictures say it all...the wheel on my back could be spun so that people could ask questions and get an answer...
As I see it yes... Ask again later... don't count on it... my sources say no... outlook not so good... signs point to yes.

Lucky # 56

As promised, here is a picture of the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie factory. It is located at 56 Ross Aly. I had a difficult time finding it, but it did solve the mystery of how fortune cookies are made. If you can see in the background, there are round circles. The batter is squirted on little individual flat griddles that close like a waffle iron. They rotate around and pop open when they are done. Then this lady takes a fortune and folds the cookie over this little bar to get the shape we are all familiar with. Trivia: where were they invented? (not China) I wish I had known you can bring your own fortune. What would your's say?
